Not really a bug per se, but a feature request,

When you are not able to connect to the internet or 4g, is there a way to play?

The game would make those long 5+ hour flights much more bearable.

Perhaps just load the last known saved state or temporal portal state. Let person play, then when they get back to connectivity land, update the status for next time they play.

Thanks,

And if you could get this added by Thursday when I fly out, I would be most appreciative!!

I am a little confused because the game does not require internet access. What happens when you try and play without an internet connection?

At the start of the game you have to load about 50 K of data to start the game.

If you do not do that, you cannot play.

There is the initial download yes, but once that is completed, you should not need an internet connection after that. Are you saying that it is asking you to download data every time you start the app?

Yes,

Every time I start the app I have to do a 59K download.

Was a pain on the flights, had to violate the airplane mode rules and start the app before takeoff. Then leave the game running when devices were supposed to be turned off.

Thank god it wasnt Malaysian airlines or there may have been a third lost plane'

I cannot understand what you are seeing. The only download required is the initial one (and it is MUCH larger than 59K). Are you using the Android or iOS version? What is the exact message you receive when you start the game?

I am playing on a Motorola xoom, android OS ver 4.1.2

The first page always comes up saying

"This application requires 1MB of content to be updated. Tap the start button to begin the download. Once the download had started you can ....."

It only downloads 59 K, but it happens every time.

Hmm, here is something you can try. Connect your device to your computer and browse to your SD card. You should find a folder named Android/data/com.gabysoft.oubliette/cache. Delete that entire folder and then run the game again. It should then force you to do a complete download of the game's graphics which may fix your problem. It should not affect your stored games which are saved elsewhere on your device.

If you want to be doubly sure you game data is protected, send an in-game comment before you delete that folder. That will send your game file to my server for safe keeping.

It worked.

Though the game seems to have more lag time now than before. Could be unrelated.

It really shouldn't have affected the lag.
