Enchanted Equipment
In addition to the "normal" equipment available for purchase in the general store,
there are enchanted equipment items to be found in the dungeon. This magical equipment
is frequently like normal equipment, except that it has been endowed with special
qualities that make it more desirable. Hirebrands may find magic plate mail which
protects them even better than normal plate mail, while mages may be interested
in the Wizard's Staff, which can be used in the dungeon as a weapon and a source
of protection for the mage. While the best magic equipment is usually harder to
obtain, it is well worth the quest.
If you find an item in the dungeon which has an unknown property (listed as Special
in the equipment list), it is prudent to experiment carefully with the item! Entire
parties have been known to find destruction by the misuse of unknown equipment.
