I used to be able to download flash cards with mp3 audio files from Flashcard Exchange using the Quizard iPhone app.

But it seems with the latest upgrade, it no longer works.

When downloading the card sets, the media file download page count down really fast. When viewing the flashcards, the audio is not played even though the speaker icon is displayed. Pressing 'replay' does not play it. Card sets downloaded before the upgrade still work.

Please fix this as I rely on audio heavily.

We have identified and fixed the problem and submitted a new version to Apple for approval. The approval process usually takes 1-2 weeks.

Thanks for the report.

The fix for the problem should now be live on Apple.

There seems to be a problem that only exists on iPhone 4S. The audio does not play at all, even the audio for the built-in Dolch Word sets. The iPhone can play music and read-along books. So unless there is a setting I don't know of that can prohibit an app from playing audio...

It works fine on iPad 2 as far as I can tell.

Just in case this is important: iPhone 4S is still on iOS5 but the iPad 2 has upgraded to iOS6. Both running 2.1.1i version of Quizard.

Did the previous version work on the iPhone 4S?

OK, it turns out that the side switch was set to on. After switching it off, it's now working. Maybe this app should not respect the mute setting, just like Music etc?

Thanks for the update, perhaps you are right. I will have to research the matter.
