Hi, does anyone know how AC works ? one of my character wears a shield+1 (AC 3) with a chain mail+2 (AC 6) so in my mind i should have a +9 protection ... but when i look at the general stat in the tavern it s written AC -1 (just near the age of the character). Is it the same stat ? is AC, armor class bonus ?

As with the old style D&D armour class goes down as it improves. It starts at 10 for a naked peasant and goes down from there. So for that armour and shield setup it shoud be 10 - 6 - 3 = 1 AC, which is fairly solid on the first 3 levels but will get you pasted lower down :)

Edit: I assume you have another 2 from a ring or your weapon (or both)

Cowboy is correct, the lower your AC the better. Each point of AC lowers your probability of being hit by 5%. Note that the probability is based on other factors besides your AC and can never be lower than 1 out of 20 (i.e. 5%).

As he pointed out, this follows the original D&D which inspired this game back in the 70's.
