Yes. They do suck, and quite literally! I have finally managed to be able to go into the Dungeon and hang around long enough to get a chest or two. Despite this, I noticed that my gold was dropping at an astounding rate, which led to my discovery:

The Inn charges [x] gold PER PERSON! That's murderous on my bank account; moreso because I didn't know this was the case. I suppose this made sense when each player paid for their own lodgings, but now that gold is held in a group account, perhaps cramming everyone into one room is in order? >.<

Note, however, that only those that need to rest will be charged (although everyone ages). Also, never rest to get your hits back. Always use your Priests to heal your party at the end of a trip.

Money is really tight at the beginning of the game, but after you start going to level 3 or 4, you will be rolling in it. Think of your first party as the starter party. Don't worry too much about aging them, since you will replace them with more premium characters (Samurai, Rangers & Paladins) later. Once your starter party can reach the mid levels and can generate a good supply of gold, start working on your premium characters and then only rest in the best inn (but NEVER rest to regain hits).

Can you lower the aging in the inns to something a bit more reasonable than months?(days maybe?)

The whole point of aging is to make it a significant factor in the game. Reducing the aging would sabotage that goal. If you don't want to worry about aging, then choose all Elf characters. However, choosing other characters has advantages. This game is very much about trade-offs.

You know, perhaps you might want to clarify it in-game for the players : D ?

"THE PAIN PIT CHARGE 5000 GOLD PER PERSON, NOT PER GROUP"

Well, space is pretty tight on these devices, but I will see what I can do.
