Got a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Icecream Sandwich, and the game wont start.
Got the full version 2.1.

I have an ICS tablet (running 4.0.3) and it works fine. What exactly happens when you try and start it? It would be most helpful if you could send me the logcat right after you try and run it. If you need an app to send the logcat, I have used 'aLogcat' before with much success.

Thanks.

Hi, the screen goes black then I wait for 15sec or so and the app crashes.
I'll look into the logcat thing later today or tomorrow, thanks.

Were you able to get past the content downloading, or did it crash before you could even do that? What is the exact version of ICS that you are running?

Thanks.

Hi,
I use version 4.0.3, and I got to the download screen, then when it was completed the screen went black.

4.0.3 is the same version of ICS that I am using here without problem. Does your device have and SD card installed? Perhaps something was corrupted in the download. Why don't you try uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

As an update, I have now tried it on an Acer tablet running 4.0.3 and it works there as well.

Hi,
Yes I have installed an SDcard so I'll try re-installing thanks.

Edit: It solved the issue, thanks. :)

I am now having the same issue, I installed the lite version for a test and it worked fine but the full version still doesn't. Will an uninstall/reinstall leave my game data intact?

No, if you uninstall you will lose your characters. What exactly happens when you start it up. If you can send me the logcat file (there is a free app 'aLogcat' which you can use to email the logcat to me) it might give me a clue as to why this is happening.

One thing I can think of is that if you accidentally deleted any of the content files (which are stored on your SD card) it could cause a problem. What you can try is to delete the content files and let the app reload them. If you connect your device to your computer and open up the 'drive' which represents your SD card, you should find a folder at:

\Android\data\com.gabysoft.oubliette

You can safely delete this entire folder (you characters are NOT stored there) and the next time you run the app it should re-download the content.

Let me know if that helps.
