It appears that the stairs to lvl 3 are enclosed in an area with no doors.

There is a chute to get you in, but no apparent way out. I am ready to try a quick jaunt in & out of 3. How do you get back up?

I did purchase the full version..

I can assure you there is a way out. The maps are not complete, nor are they completely accurate, so beware.

Also note that there is also a stair that takes you directly from level 1 to level 3.

You can get to L3 from L2 and L1. From L1 it's tricky to find, look around the top right. BTW, when you venture down to lower levels and get beat up the priest spell "seek home" is your friend.

So is the Mage's Teleport spell. Note that the Priest spell has the added advantage of getting you out of any encounter.
